Who We Are
The Northend Church FoodBank is a community-driven initiative powered entirely by over 100 unpaid volunteers. Our dedicated team consists of Northend Church congregants, neighbours, and Community Partners, including several local businesses that have joined us in our mission to support those in need in our community.

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,”says the LORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.
– Malachi 3:10
What We Do
Each week, we provide food to individuals and families in need, who can order monthly. Guests can place their orders online or by phone if they lack internet access. Initially serving just a few families each week in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we now serve over 280 families monthly. Our site often reaches capacity within minutes of opening. In 2023 alone, we distributed 106,600 lbs of food to 6,860 people. In 2025, we are on track to distribute 180,000 lbs of food to over 8,000 people

In addition to our monthly distributions, we provide food weekly to several local organizations, including:
Chez Marie Refugee Centre
50+ teen moms through STRIVE and Youth Unlimited
Our FoodBank has become more than a service; it is a community. The Spanish Grupa Vida and Ukrainian life groups meet weekly at Northend to study God's Word, build social connections, and support one another. Our prayer team, consisting of 10-12 partners, reaches out to FoodBank guests who request prayer and connection.
Each week, financial planning and budgeting assistance are offered through the Christians Against Poverty (CAP) program, with group seminars to help individuals achieve financial stability.
How We’ve Grown
Northend FoodBank Partners
Through these partnerships, we procure over $800,000 in in-kind food donations annually, significantly offsetting the cost of food and preventing over 50,000 lbs of greenhouse gases.
